The Funeral for Mary Tyers will be in the St. Thomas’ Memorial Garden tomorrow, Saturday, 17 October, at 11am. (Mary died on 11 May.) In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.

 

We welcome our guest presider this Sunday, the Rev. Ryan Paetzold!

Next week, 25 October, children and their families will gather (at a safe distance and outdoors) to carve pumpkins at 12.30pm! Talk to Barbara Korcuba or Gretchen Owen right away if you need more information or would like to participate in this activity.

Wednesday night Eucharist is still on hiatus this coming week.

Saturday night service will be Evening Prayer this week and next.

From Rowan University concerning St. Thomas’ member Heather Lanier: Join us on Thursday, 22 October, at 6.30pm on Facebook LIVE for a book launch reading for Raising a Rare Girl, award-winning writer Heather Lanier’s memoir about raising a child with a rare syndrome, defying the tyranny of normal, and embracing parenthood as a spiritual practice that breaks us open in the best of ways. Published this summer by Penguin Press, Heather’s memoir is a New York Times Book Review Editors’ Choice and has been featured in the New York Times, The Atlantic, People Magazine, and more.

During this season of coronavirus infections, when attending events on campus at St. Thomas’, please demonstrate your love for your friends and neighbors by:

  1. Wearing a mask (covering both mouth and nose)
  2. Remaining six feet apart from anyone you don’t live with
  3. Refraining from touching, hugging and shaking hands – even during the Peace
  4. There will be no singing
  5. Service bulletins you have touched must be taken home
  6. After the service everyone must disperse with no lingering
  7. No sharing of common objects such as pens, paper, etc.
