The Burial Office for Helene Evans will take place Monday, 10 June 2024 at 11am at St. Thomas’. There will be a visitation beginning at 10am.

The last day of Sunday School and Children’s Chapel for the summer will be Sunday, 9 June.

What happens when you’ve raised your children in church and encouraged their faith while they were at home…but they’re not attending church once they’re on their own?  How can we strengthen the Body of Christ with our own practices and invite those we love to be a part of it?

Beginning in June, the Diocese of New Jersey is hosting an evening online discussion group for support, fellowship, and conversation with each other, local clergy and family counseling professionals. The first meeting was on Thursday, 6 June, but will continue throughout the summer. This meeting will give us the chance to begin getting to know each other and to hear our stories and will be our time to set up more meetings going forward. In the weeks to come, we’ll continue to spend time with each other and with clergy and mental health professionals who will help us navigate healthy discussions and engage in best spiritual practices.  To sign up or for more information, please contact the Reverend Canon Susanna Cates.

Lectionary readings for this week:  1 Samuel 8:4-20, 2 Corinthians 4:13-5:1, Mark 3:20-35, Psalm 138

Lectionary readings for next week: 1 Samuel 15:34-16:13, Psalm 20, 2 Corinthians 5:6-10, [11-13], 14-17, Mark 4:26-34

Please continue in your daily prayers for: Bob, Lou, Sandy, Sarah, Deborah, Jared, Michael, John, Harry, Marty, James, Joyce

From the Nominating Committee of the Diocese of New Jersey:
It is now time to nominate for “vacant” diocesan positions. I’m requesting that you review the open positions and nominate quality candidates. I recognize that we are busy. I recognize that we have things to do. And I know for a fact that our diocese will only be as
strong and healthy as our leaders stemming from nominated quality candidates.

The offices to be filled:
