On January 4th we celebrated our 12th Epiphany potluck meal. Thank you to all who came out for a night of fun. That night we also announced the winners of our gingerbread competition. Above are pictured those who found treasures in their cupcakes and thus will be the honored guests at next year’s Epiphany potluck!
Convocation Christmas Lessons & Carols with Holy Eucharist on the Sunday after Christmas was a huge success! St. Thomas’ showed up strong and helped pack the house! Let’s do it again next year!

The Great Cookie Festival of 2019 was a huge success! Much sugar was consumed, many smiles were smiled, some naps may have been taken. Thank you to everyone who participated in the cookie swap and tasting (yum!) and in the building of gingerbread houses. And to our fearless organizers: Gretchen and Sarah, purveyors of bacon-chocolate-chip cookies and of endless supplies of frosting, er, mortar.
Meet two of our young preachers, Maiiya and Scott. Both are relatively new members of St. Thomas’ (though they’ve both been among us longer than you think!). They, along with Sarah Ternay, are the driving energy behind our Advent Vespers services on Tuesday nights at 6.30pm!
This week St. Thomas’ is hosting four families through IHN / Family Promise. These are children and adults, women and men, who have a warm, safe place to sleep and a hearty meal at the end of each day thanks to the hard work and generosity of St. Thomas’. Cleaning, preparing meals, sleeping over, driving the van: disciples of Jesus Christ love their neighbors in practical ways even when it means sacrificing their own comfort and desires.
Kitchen of Hope gave away 80+ turkeys last weekend! Disciples of Jesus look for ways to share with others the good things in life that we enjoy ourselves. Thank you to everyone who came out for an extra Kitchen of Hope Day in November!
Sarah Ternay organized a fabulous potluck and game night last Sunday night! Thank you to Sarah and to everyone who came out to make it a delightful time of laughter and togetherness. And lots of great food!
