Today we observe Good Friday at Noon and 7pm (same service, two times) with the Passion, the Solemn Collects, and the Veneration of the Cross. Written prayers will be collected to offer on the New Fire of the Vigil. The offering from these services will be added to the Episcopal Church’s “Good Friday Offering” that benefits our Anglican sibling in the Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East. Come pray and give with us.

Tomorrow, Saturday, is the Great Vigil of Easter. Beginning at 6pm, we will tell our stories and sing our songs around the fire, renew our Baptismal vows, celebrate the Eucharist, and share S’Mores and other campfire delicacies afterwards. Bring a chair and dress for the weather! You are also invited to bring a candle (that will stand on its own) to light the altar at the Eucharist, and a bell to ring at the Easter proclamation.

Covid cases are rising in some parts of New Jersey! Please be sure to stay on top of your recommended vaccinations and masking to protect all those you love.

This Sunday, Easter Sunday, we will be meeting outdoors at 10.30am for one big, combined service.  In case of terrible weather, our outdoor services will be moved into the Parish Hall.

ECW Mothers Matter Toiletries Collection:  Thank you to all who have contributed to our project to gather supplies for Mothers Matter gift bags in honor of our moms.  They are most appreciative of our help.  We have both toiletries and monetary donations.  We will be delivering them to Mothers Matter the week after Easter so if you would still like to contribute, please bring your donation to church by Easter Sunday.  Money or checks written to St. Thomas’ in envelopes marked for ECW Mothers Matters can be put in the collection plate or toiletries can be put in the boxes in both the nave and upstairs Parish Hall.

Items Needed:  Liquid hand soap, mini hand sanitizer, small hand lotion, facial wipes, chapstick, lipstick, emery boards, nail polish, nail polish remover packets, playing cards, puzzle books, journals – and all available at Dollar Tree!

As always, St. Thomas’ always come through!  Our ECW thanks you!

Friday, 22 April 2022 – all proceeds will go to Episcopal Relief & Development!

The Diocese of New Jersey will offer Diocesan Confirmations on Saturday, 7 May, at 10am. Please speak to Father Todd right away if you would like to receive the sacrament of Confirmation or, for those already confirmed, Reaffirmation. A preparatory class of four weeks will be offered on Sunday mornings at 9am starting the week after Easter.

Our Covid protocol has changed! We will be following the CDC guidelines for Gloucester County, which will vary based on the local infection rate and, secondarily, the availability of our local hospitals to cope with current cases.

We will additionally wear our masks while singing whenever the daily new cases count  for Gloucester county exceeds 15/100k.

The CDC has downgraded the “COVID-19 Community Level” for Gloucester county to “High” and the new infection rate was at 9.2 mid-week. While these conditions persist, masks will be optional at all St. Thomas’ services and events.

You are encouraged to wear a mask if you are at all concerned about it. You will not be the only one!

If you would like to contribute to the work of Episcopal Relief & Development serving refugees from Ukraine, you can donate here.
