The Sunday School is run by an appointed Superintendent and a group of volunteer Directors that meet bimonthly to arrange curriculum and activities. Christian Education runs from mid-September through mid-June, and is divided by grade levels. Classes last for an hour and a half, and commence following the 9:30 a.m. Service and 9:30 a.m. Children's Chapel Service. All of the classes, Nursery through Adult Education, meet in the Parish House, with the exception of the Junior High School and High School classes who meet in the Church Undercroft. The curriculum varies from class to class, but they include Cook/Morehouse, Teal, and Serendipity series. Children are encouraged to learn memory work for each academic year, and are awarded for their accomplishments at a year-end awards ceremony, in which Year Pins and gifts are given to the children. Also, in addition to weekly Adult Education, the Sunday School offered Alpha Bible Study and a program titled Disciple Bible Study. |
